A sacred casting ceremony is one of the most revered rituals in Buddhism — a collective act of devotion where a community comes together to create a Buddha statue for a temple, school, institution, or sacred site. Proper preparation from the start ensures the ceremony runs smoothly and is spiritually complete.

Step 1 — Define the Statue and Size

Step 2 — Consult the Foundry and Design the Prototype

Once the design is set, the foundry's craftsmen sculpt a prototype for your review. You may request adjustments to any detail until satisfied, before the mold is made.

Step 3 — Set the Date and Arrange the Monks

Choose an auspicious date and arrange for monks to chant at the pouring ceremony at least 1–2 months in advance. This is the spiritual heart of the entire process.

Step 4 — Prepare the Venue and Equipment
